JSD NDT technicians are trained in performing portable hardness testing (HT) which is one of the many non-destructive testing methods used. HT is utilized to obtain the hardness value of a material. We apply HT to obtain hardness values on ferrous, non-ferrous metals and alloys. HT inspection can be conducted on welds, weld overlays, heat affected zones, castings, structural steel etc. The portable tools can be used just about any location.
